Julia is part of the Pool Frog Species Action Plan, led by English Nature and The Herpetological Conservation Trust, which has reintroduced 75 northern pool frogs from Sweden into the wild at a secret location near Thetford, Norfolk. It is hoped that these 75 frogs will mark the return of a lost native species in England.

Gareth manages amphibian survey and monitoring activities, including training. He is also responsible for co-ordinating the Toad-crossing effort within Surrey. He is a self-employed herpetological consultant, and regularly assists with habitat management across the county.

Kevin is a naturalist with considerable experience from Antarctica to the Amazon, and from whale-watching to swimming with dolphins. He is also an ecological consultant, specialising in birds, reptiles and amphibians. He is a well respected speaker and organiser of ecologically sound tourist expeditions.

Rick is Senior Lecturer in Procurement at The National School of Government. He is also a keen amateur naturalist, and is a published author on wildlife topics. He is Secretary of Surrey Amphibian and Reptile Group, and holds a licence for conservation work with endangered species.

Steve co-ordinates the reptile survey and monitoring activities and reptile training across the county. He co-ordinates closely with the Herpetological Conservation Trust with their rare-species monitoring programmes. He has an interest in nature photography, particularly reptiles. Steve is also the SARG webmaster.

Danial is the SARG operations officer, managing the various activities that SARG undertakes; to care for and preserve the reptiles and amphibians within the county. Danial organises the countryside work parties, to improve habitat, and liases with organisations such as schools, natural history groups and youth organisations to increase the public understanding of these animals.

Ralph is one of the two remaining inaugural members of SARG. Since 1987 his main interest has been amphibians and their habitats. He is experienced in pond assessment, construction and management. He is involved with amphibian and reptile survey and general habitat management and holds the SARG tools and loads of basic equipment.
