Why survey is importantAll fieldwork that contributes to the conservation of reptile and amphibian species is utterly dependant upon knowing where the animals live. Surrey has an area of 1670 Km2, and SARG currently has about a dozen active surveyors. It is impossible for so small a number of people to maintain accurate records across the county. We, and the animals, rely upon volunteers to assist with the surveying and reporting of where the animals are present, and the public to report any animals seen. SARG are currently developing the processes and web applications for you to help us to find the animals. Details will soon be posted on this page. |
